Position Summary and Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.  Determines design approaches and parameters
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results
  • Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.  May also review vendor capability to support product development, and all other duties as assigned
  • Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.  Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.  Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
  • Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a U.S. Person

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BS Electrical Engineering
  • 5-7 years’ related experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Considerable experience in Engineering Design
  • Experience with electrical test equipment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with underwater technology preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
